The bears in this gallery have all been sold, but are pictured here for your enjoyment. Most of Stacey Alvarado's miniature bears are either functional or mechanical. She has thought up and invented functions and mechanics for some miniature bears, and has been inspired from vintage toys and collectibles for others. Hopefully these interactive mini bears will touch your heart, warm your soul, and maybe even rekindle childhood memories.

  Functional Bears
Functional bears are bears that have a secondary use, such as a purse, a whistle, a magnet, a hair pin, a drawer, or a necklace. Functional bears and mechanical bears are a little bit different, but share some traits.
  Mechanical Bears
Mechanical bears don't have secondary uses, but hardware makes the bears move or act in some way. Examples include a bear on a pull toy, a bear with a springy neck, a wind-up bear, a bear whose limbs can be interchanged with one another.

Other Mini Bears
Every once in awhile, Stacey will create a mini bear that is neither functional nor mechanical. So far, such mini bears are quite rare due to her fascination with the more-interactive bears.

Tattered Bear
